Performa & Kesan Berkendara 5/10

Konsumsi BBM: 12 km/l

However, the MP4 earns A’s for inspiration and execution. Early adopters have dibs on the 300 or so cars planned for U.S. delivery this year (beginning in August), but they’ll be followed by 1000 or more cars in 2012. And where the MP4 goes, other McLarens will follow. Count on a convertible, a less-expensive model, and a successor to the legendary McLaren F1 before the clock strikes 2016.

If there’s a ray of sunshine beaming down on a usually gloomy Great Britain, it may be Bruce McLaren smiling over what his successors have achieved.

Eksterior 8/10

IT NEED TO INSULATE THE CABIN, THE ENGINE IS TOO NOISY. IT HARD TO HAVE A CONVERSATION OR LISTEN TO SAMMY HAGAR(I CAN'T DRIVE 55 ). THE TRUNK DOOR IS TOO FLEMSY.AFTER I PUT IN 2100 MILES. TRANSMISSION BROKE DOWN

9/10 Interior

What the heck are you guys talking about? Who cares about paint on a car that does 0-60 in 3sec, has technology so dominant it's banned from major race series, and costs over $200,000? Go drool over an Ed hardy Lambo.

9/10 Teknologi

As I've said elsewhere...this car, nor any of the uber dollar "exotics" no longer impress me. Of course it is brilliant...for $231,400 is there any excuse for it NOT to be the second coming? ANY COMPANY can make a car like this at this price point...when you take off the contraints of producability, useability, and per unit profit margins it does not take any engineering finesse, or forethought...just go crazy and leave it to the marketing wizards to find an audience...usually one more concerned with Image and Cache that the joy of driving.

No..I am MUCH more impressed with cars like the ZR-1, GT3, GT-R, Audi R8, etc...cars that give the enthusiast 95%, sometimes 100%, of the performance at half the cost of these rolling Rolexs, while still being usable as a "Car" and profitable for the companies that make them. THAT type of automobile shows real engineering skill.

Not to say this isn't a GREAT car..it is. But if McLaren had brought this to market for say...$150,000 or less...it would have been a much more important and powerful statement of the engineering prowess they seek to promote. As it stands..McLaren has just made yet another expensive Garage Queen for people who simply want to make a statement to the world, not enjoy the act of driving. I'd bet 275 of the 300 made for the US will have less than 5000 miles on them after the first 5 years...made 30 miles at a time back and forth to the Valet stand.

8/10 Value for Money

amazing car, may suffer from some of the setbacks of the GTR by being a little too composed, but an astonishing acheivement. I like Maclaren's approach, it's not trying to out ferrari is the style dept but it wants to be a classier alternative to real driving enthusiasts. The fact is that if you can afford a maclaren you probably own a ferrrari anyway , you may as well try something different. This car is a lot like an IWC or Patek watch, perfect in execution but doesn't scream out at you.

10/10 Purnajual

This car is definitely a hardcore driver's car. There is absolutely no one who would buy this car for its cachet or ability to snag a date; midway through stuttering out that alphanumeric word vomit, your potential date might be even more confused than you are, and confusion as a tactic for attracting dates has a mixed track record. That and the fact that 'McLaren' is not pronounced "Feh-rawr-eee" is another potential stumbling block if your goal is to impress non-car people.
